Correct modification?

Hi. Are these correct? I believe each of both underlined modifying clauses modifies the whole main clause, which is before it. Thank you in advance for your help.

1. This time, he had to take a long way around to get home, which he didn't like.
2. This time, he had to take a long way around to get home, which made him tired by the time he got home.
