Correct me if I'm wrong

I'm trying to improve my writing using what is called 'absolute phrase'.

I witnessed a very huge party, men clapping their hands, women wearing gorgeous dresses, children kept in a big hall filled with different games, the bride smiling happily at her partner [her face red] whereas the bride groom's face is radiating with blissfulness.
Another paragraph:
Students are running around the school yard, their hands down and heads up, panting severely with tissues in their hands to dry sweat.
