Correct letter

Dear Sir/Madame,

I am writing in response to admission page on your webpage. I understand, that deadlines of admission has already passed, but I have a couple of very strong reasons to get into your school.

I am 18 years old polish girl. I have always wanted to go into neuroscience course. Unfortunately, there are no good courses in Poland, so I decided to applicate into British university, especially Edinbourgh and Oxford. For whole my life I have been interested in brain and how knowledge about it can improve the quality of our life. For some time im concentrated on project Avatar and similar ideas.

I have recently met some people who opened my eyes. They told me, that my chances of doing what I want to do is close to impossible with polish matura. I was working really hard, to do what I wanted to. I am currently in the best school in Warsaw and third in Poland, in class with extended maths, biology and chemistry. On the end of my secondary school my marks were (and it is similar to GCSE): 5 from maths, 5 from biology, 5 from chemistry, 5 from english (extended level) and 5 from physic. On the tests after secondary school I got 100% from maths, 95% from sciences (with 100% from biology, 90% chemistry, 95% physic and 95% geography), 90% history and 80% polish.

I will pass my TOEFL exam on 28.02.14. On the mock test in my learnig centre i got 110 points, so I believe that I will meet your academic language requirements. I have no problem in communicating with people from other countries and even if I sometimes make minor mistakes, my speech can still me understood.

I know that I am old and if I will be accepted into your college I would be one of the oldest from your students, but here in Poland it is exactly the age of preparing to matura. I belive, that I can pass A-Levels on one year long course if needed.

Except from school I also work very hard as a volonteer. I am a scout. Currently I am a team leader for a group of 20 scouts (brownies). I have just (last week) organized a week long trip to mountains with my team. I will make a sailing trip for my 30 peers in the beginning of May. I am experienced on working with people and organising events.

Unfortunately I cannot afford boarding costs in your school. I think I will find a small flat close to the school and live there on my own.

I would be happy to contact with you on Skype or phonw at any time which is
convenient to you.

Yours faithfully
