Correct grammar?

Hi,

Are the following sentences (with the omitted prepositions) gramatically correct?

(1) He works weekends
(2) She teaches school

#1 is ok but #2 needs a preposition. She teaches at/in (the/a) school. An article (either a or the) is normally required but I suppose you can omit it if the listener knows which school is meant.
