Correct errors if any

Please look at the second illustration from the top.
Does No. 1 sound OK? No. 2 is my sentence.

1. Small, rear ashtrays are located in the armrests of both rear doors. To open an ashtray, pivot the lid up.
2. There is an ashtray on each of the rear door armrests. To open its lid, flip it up.
