Can you also check this sentence to see if it sounds unnatural. I heard the sentence on The late night show with Jimmy Cordan where he says to Kendall Jenner about her twenty first birthday party that happend a couple of weeks ago? He says, 'It would've been the first time you ever tried alcohol.' Is this use of would've unnatural too among native speakers? If not, this use of would is the same as in my sentence. It's just my sentence is present and his is past. Thank you in advance.
