No that GSM there suggests a mobile technology, like GSM sim. Let us say Iphone is removed from the sentence, then which article would be correct?

Thanks

The indefinite one.

Any particular logic behind that? In my opinion, a "GSM sim" would be as known as a "GSM Iphone". Then why the rule is not the same?

Thanks

iPhone is a brand. A GSM sim is not. If my knowledge is incorrect, please do as you wish.
