could you please correct my essay.

The popular definition of a college is an institution of higher learning that grants the bachelor degree in liberal arts or science or both but, actually there is no universal definition of a college and each of us can give his own opinion and conception what a college means.

As an international high school senior, and as a someone who never travel to the us, I can only imagine what a college can mean next year, but I am certainly sure it’s going to be an excellent and an amazing experience in my life.

However, there is several reasons why I chose to apply to an American college ,one of them is :For its excellence reputation academically; But colleges don’t extend their education in books or labs but they extend their knowledge through extraculiar activities ,organizations such as the university honors program and finally the knowledge can be acquired through internships, jobs opportunities.

In another level, a college means to me a lot of social interaction between many people. Also, the connection and the communication with teachers can be really interesting especially during the honors classes .For example students discuss some topics related to the French literature like Montaigne or psychological problems such as Freud. But what confers originality of a college is its ethnic diversity; we can meet many people from very different backgrounds and from different countries. This is can be helpful to share customs cultures and religious views.

At the end, we will mostly remember not the education we have gain during four years in college but the experiences we’ve learned and the great time we’ve lived. I guess it’s the only thing in common with all students about what college means.
