Me: Somebody is knocking on the door. Who do you think it is?

Sam: It would probably be Jim. He told me yesterday he was gonna come to burrow the book.

is this conversation correct with would? Yes. But in my experience you can live in an English-speaking country for years and not hear anyone say that.
