My question is:

I did not get to see the UFC match between Daniel Cormier and Steve Miocic. I really missed out. That would have been a great match.

I know the sentences above are correct with positive would have.


What about the use of negative would have?

I did not get to see the UFC match between Daniel Cormier and Steve Miocic. I really missed out. That wouldn't have been a great match.

Are the sentences correct with "wouldn't have" as well? If not, why is the positive would've correct and negative would've incorrect?
