Correct?

Mia: Have you seen Smith?

Elle: no but he is probably in his room.

Mia: That would be awesome. (Here Implied clause is “if he was in his room, it would be awesome”)

is the use of would in the Mia’s sentence correct? I believe it’s correct because of the use of “probably” in Elle’s sentence. Please help.
