In that post the focus was on what is grammatical. There was no set-up or scenario or other context given there by which appropriateness could be judged. I was particularly interested in correcting other errors that you had made there which had nothing to do with 'would', namely the omission of "the" and the wrong word order. In fact, the only reason I added 'is' was to hint to you that 'is' might have been a better choice than 'would be'.

In this post the focus is on what is appropriate (or natural). You presented a scenario where a box appears unexpectedly in your room. You gave the impression that you wanted to know if your sentence was appropriate in the given scenario, that is, what people really say in situations like that.

Thousands of sentences fit into a category that is grammatical but not natural. Context can make a big difference.
