Correct?

If someone really loved you, they wouldn't let you slip away.
Vs.

If someone really loves you, they wouldn't let you slip away.

I think both mean the same and both are correct, right?

I would say " If someone really loves you, he doesn't let you slip away".By the way, i would change that "they" into "he/she", as well.

@Gubendreanu You don't know who "someone" is, so it should be "they".
