Correct?

"His heartfelt spirit is evident in his unwillingness to give up on any student, even the "problem" ones. " What does this sentence mean and is it correct to say?

Top answer

Anonymous heartfelt spirit That phrase is a bit murky, but the sentence means that he was obviously committed to helping every student succeed. I wouldn't call it 'correct' because of that strange noun phrase at the beginning. Replace 'heartfelt spirit' with 'concern for others', for instance.
