Correct?

If you ever get lost in the jungle of Nepal, you would find a village; you would find a place to sleep and I wouldn't be surprised. Is this grammatically correct?

The minimum correction would be to change "get" to "got". "I wouldn't be surprised" seems a bit redundant to me, since the "you would" phrasing already expresses the speaker's belief or assertion that this is what would happen. It is not definitely wrong though.

  • It may work better if read as meaning "...
  • and I wouldn't even be surprised if you found a place to sleep".

Thank you so much. I saw this sentence in a video where 'get' was used instead of 'got'. Does it

It is the sort of small imperfection that happens. I would not assume just from this that the speaker was not a native speaker of English.
