It's been a year since I graduated from the school. (That's OK if which school you mean is clear in the context)

Whether or not to include "the", it is not something that all English speakers would say. Graduating from school is not the terminology used in all parts of the English-speaking world. Neither is the American practice of using the word school as a synonym for university.
