Corporatisation of media houses

CPM leader Sitaram Yechury said the corporatisation of media houses had led to the paid news a phenomenon which was a negation of parliamentary democracy. He suggested the government to stop advertisements to newspapers and media houses which were indulging in paid news.d

Could you please explain to me what "corporatisation" means here?

I think it means the commercialisation of news thereby making it prone to biases and political undertones. I agree with you, it isn't well written.
