Can I say,

(a) They teach us how to improve on reading, writing and speaking well in English.

(b) The classes run from Mondays through to Fridays.

For (a) I would say: They teach us to read, write and speak English better. On is used after improve in other contexts: I can't improve on his performance! For (b) I would say: There are classes from Monday to/till/until Friday.
