COOL DOWN

Dear Teachers,

1. My son! finish your dinner quickly, otherwise it will get cold / it will cool down.

- Is this natural to say?

Thanks very much to Teachers,

I know that I am asking this rather belatedly, but do you really mean ' say ', Steven? That is, do you mean spoken English only? This sentence needs some fixing in punctuation too (which only applies to the written language): Finish your dinner quickly, son; otherwise it will get cold.

(Get cold is a bad event; cool down is a good event.)
