convulsion peaks or convulsion increases to peak

If you carefully watch this video, you can see initially the convulsion is less when he falls, but soon increases. Now how do you say this?
Can I say "The convulsion peaks"? Or should I say "the convulsion increases to peak"? Which is correct?
