convinced that or convinced of?

Hello.

I am not sure if the following sentence is correct:
'I am personally convinced that they don't exist anymore'.

Should I rather use 'I am personally convinced of the fact that they don't exist anymore' instead? Or would this be incorrect because my conviction might be wrong, thus not being a fact?

If none of these are correct, could someone please provide me with an alternative?

Thank you!
Indy

Indy van Oijen 'I am personally convinced that they don't exist anymore'. That's fine as it is.
