Speech & Pronunciation

Conversely

Hi,

I'm confused about the pronunciation of 'conversely'.

One of my dictionaries says that the stress falls on the first syllable, and another says it's on the second one.

How do you say 'conversely'?

Thanks in advance

Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English gives either "cun-VUR-slee" or "CON-vur-slee". I don't know which one is the most common, but I might prefer the one with the stress on the second syllable. ) even use a different vowel in the first syllable and stress it a little too: con-VUR-slee (con as in contact).
