Converse, reverse

I've encountered this pair of synonyms frequently and whenever I saw them I just ignored their difference in meaning,if any.
However looking into the antonyms part, I've met them again appearing in such conecpts ; converse antonym, reverse antonym.
So it is quite curious of me whether native speakers usually tell 'converse' from 'reverse' and
what is the most determining different factor in meaning to let them keep apart in word lists?

Thank you for the reply.
So it seems 'reverse' is more likely to be used in everyday life,
is this right with your thinking?
