conversation subjects for children

Hello one and all,

I work in Hong Kong for a and my manager has asked me to come up with 50 unrelated topics for children to talk about. My first 50 were not good enough as they were too much the same, in her opinion. The topics should be activity based and the children (ages 3 - 5 ) should be able to undersatand the idea of what they are doing.

I would really appreciate any help with this and all suggestions are useful right now.

thanks in advance

You can go with question "types"...

For example,

Favorites - Favorite food, favorite cartoon show, favorite teach
Hobbies - What they do when the homework is done, what is the plan for next day's recess
Relationships - What is the best thing about your dad? What is the best about your mom?
Open End - Do you like when it rains? Do you like to watch TV? What is the best

Generally kids aged 3 to 5 have very limited ability in a foreign language, even in their own language as it's still very much developing. Talk about stuff they are familiar with, family, lunch, dinner, play, bedtime, bath time. Get story books, boards, colouring activities etc and develop play activities via simple role play, songs etc from these themes, ie plan a whole class around your theme a
