Hi,Could you review the following sentence I plan to use in a conversation? I am not sure about the underlined parts.  I have a suggestion from the time management perspective. I was thinking that, if I could go home after handing over the presentation to you and then could submit the presentation for publishing from home, my life would be much easier. While you are working on the presentation, I could go home and have dinner, instead of waiting here for you to finish up the presentation.Thanks,MG.

What you have is fine. I'd make only a few minor changes.

While you are working on the presentation, I could go home and have dinner, instead of waiting here for you to finish up the presentation.

I tend to speak less formally, and I'd probably say.
Is it OK with you if I leave the presentation with you to work on and finish up while I go home for dinner? It would make my life a lot easier. I can submit the presentation for publishing from home.
(I didn't quite understand the "publishing from home" part, so maybe my version doesn't make sense in the last sentence.)

Why do you prefer 'a' over 'the' here? I thought there is only one time management perspective.

I debated that for a while. the is OK too, but I think I prefer a with perspective, perhaps because of some relationship to a person, any of many, who has the perspective. It seems that you have to have a person to have a perspective. I don't know.

from a bookkeeping perspective > a bookkeeper's perspective > the perspective of a bookkeeper
from a management perspective > a manager's perspective > the perspective of a manager
from an instructional perspective > an instructor's perspective > the perspective of an instructor
from a literary perspective > a writer's perspective > the perspective of a writer
from an investment perspective > an investor's perspective > the perspective or an investor
from a business perspective > a businessman's perspective > the perspective of a businessman

All of the above can have the. It just makes the focus a tiny bit different by implying, as you already mentioned, that there is only one such perspective possible or that the perspective you're talking about is the one that, on average, all such people have.
