Conversation question

Hi, guys! Thank you for your help!

I don’t know the answers of the conversation questions below.
(1) C is not possible, but I can’t choose between a, b, d, e.
Possibly A is incorrect, because it should be ‘I don’t believe I have heard’.

(2) D is incorrect because ‘get to’ means ‘reach’, which makes the sentence meaningless.

So what is the answer?
If you comment on ‘why this choice is incorrect’, this will be of great help!

A:Have you ever heard of the novel entitled “Death in Tokyo”?
B:( 1 )
a. No, I don’t believe I heard.
b. No, there is no way I have.
c. No, that is not possible.
d. No, I can’t say that I have.
e. No, it is beyond my knowing.

A:It’s a great book. You should read it if you have time.
B:If it’s that good, ( 2 ).
a. I’ll do what I can
b. I’ll try to do it
c. I’ll try to find time
d. I’ll get to it so soon
e. I’ll do what you say
