conversation between 2 people

Jessica: How do you want you pizza?Do you want the crust to be soft or crunchy?

Tom: I know you like yours soft. When you would take it out of the oven, leave it in an extra couple minutes more and that's how I like it.

Is Tom's 2nd line make any sense?
