Two friends do some catching up after not having seen each other for a few weeks:

Friend 1: I was at the movies last week.

Friend 2: Ok. What else have you been up to? Not much? Nothing's happened?

Friend 1: No, my exams are coming up soon so all I do at the moment is study.

Is this ok?

Is it completely natural to use "nothing's happened?" as in the context above?

In my opinion, (I'm a 7th Grader) I think you should put "Has anything else happened?" or just delete it all together.
