Convenience?

" People sometimes tweak the English language for convenience sake "

for convenience sake or convenience's sake ?

Top answer

's seems correct, but the form is commonly "[name]'s sake" or "his/her/my/your sake". Why not just delete "sake"? It has the same meaning.

One more thought. You could also say:

"People sometimes tweak the English language for the sake of convenience"

but I still think that -'s- is correct too.

Have a super day.
