controlled by emotions

Is this an idiomatic expression in English? What does it mean if it is correct?
He isn't controlled by his emotions.
Thanks

No, it just seems like unidiomatic English. If someone is controlled by his emotions, it means eg when he gets angry, he is controlled by his anger and not by his rational mind. Clive

He can think clearly, find solutions to problems, pursue his goals in life, and live his life calmly even during times when he is angry, or sad, or frustrated, or afraid, or even when he's ecstatically happy.
