Alternative forms of transport should be encouraged and
international laws should be introduced to control car ownership
and use. what are your views?
The biggest reason should be the recent gas price increase for not least of us to start to think about sell private car, there are other reasons such as global warming, deforestation, and food price increase caused by bio fuel that was originally intended to save our planet by changing from fusel oil that emits carbon dioxide.
Public transportation such as train and bus can be the alternative for private vehicle, which can reduce much amount of energy use. With the internet progress, some of us get to able to work in their house by using internet and commuting is not required. Good politics planning is required for the public transportation system and city planning, which is a key whether people who already know the convenience of the motor vehicle. Tax can be charged heavily on the car owners.
Each country should be work on it, addition to that, should proceed it internationally because we are live on only one planet, even the land is divided by each country, the air and sea are connected and gives influence to each other. Every country should work on together and international low should be active to save our planet. Developed and under developed country have own opinion toward this international low, though, this is the time we should forget the economical merit since the planet can not buy and unable to be replaced.
This is my idea, might not realistic to sound, though, what would you think buying 100 trees when purchase new car? And additional 1 tree for each 10 miles.
