Contrary to and as opposed to

Are 1 and 2 the same?
For 2 would you say opposed to or compared to?
Is 3 natural?

1 Contrary to Mike, I am a nice person.
2 I am a nice person as opposed to/compared to Mike.
3 People who have jobs are relaxed compared to/as opposed to those who don't.

For #1 , you can use "unlike" instead of "contrary to".
