Contradictory

How would you correctly phrase this?


What I am seeing is contradictory. She has a Hermes bag worth $7000 but is in the subway going to a shady part of town which (judging by/ if you go by) the time, should be her home. (Is contradictory the correct word?)

Let’s just say it’s 11pm and she finished work and on her way home.


Could you tell me if the sentence is correct and contradictory is used correctly? Would you use judge or judging by?
