Contracted form - not understand

Hello, this is what it is in my book.

My mum reckons it's because he's stressed out.

the first one is it is, but I do not know the second one. help me.....

could it be "he has" in this case?

No. In this sentence, 'stressed out' is an adjectival phrase describing 'he'.



You can't say 'He has stressed out' for the same reason that you can't say 'He has happy'.
