Continuous Functions Exercise

Hello everyone,

I'm currently working through an online grammar course and want to ensure I pass first time. Please could you look at my answers below and advise if they are correct?
All the sentences use past continuous and I have to select from the following options, my answers in bold:

Two continuous actions happening at the same time
An ongoing action that was interrupted by something
An action that was in progress at a specified time in the past
An action that was in progress at an unspecified time in the past
A repeated act that happened sometime in the past

1. At 8.15 p.m. I was having dinner. An action that was in progress at an unspecified time in the past
2. Chris was forever turning up late for work before he got his car. An ongoing action that was interrupted by something
3. I was watching a film and talking on the telephone. Two continuous actions happening at the same time
4. I was having a shower when the doorbell rang. An ongoing action that was interrupted by something
5. They were still working on their assignment when dawn broke. Two continuous actions happening at the same time
6. I was doing my assignment and listening to classical music. Two continuous actions happening at the same time
7. Amy was working at the cinema when she got another offer of a job. An ongoing action that was interrupted by something
8. I was living on campus last month. An action that was in progress at an unspecified time in the past
9. Mark was always running away from home when he was young. A repeated act that happened sometime in the past
10. I was drinking quite a bit, so I don't remember much. Two continuous actions happening at the same time
11. I was working in Japan, whilst writing my novel. An action that was in progress at an unspecified time in the past
12. We were walking through the graveyard, when I heard a noise. An ongoing action that was interrupted by something
13. My girlfriend was cooking and writing a letter at the same time last night. An action that was in progress at an unspecified time in the past

My Dear Boy, New to this forum as I am, I still think the guidelines I have experienced in my previous engagements with online ESL help will hold true for this forum. That is, it is highly unlikely that students hoping teachers might take one of their tests for them shall have that wish granted.

New to this forum as I am, I still think the guidelines I have experienced in my

I'm currently already teaching English at a school in Jiangsu - China, having already completed a TEFL course in the UK. The question above relates to a free extra Grammar course I received, I wouldn't usually want to have my questions checked over, but unfortunately I have left it rather late to complete the course. The deadline is the end of January and so it doesn't leave me

when dawn broke... this isn't a continuous action.... so question 5 would be an action that was in process at a specified time in the past.... ?
