Continuous followed by gerund???

Hi there!

my question is: can a continuous tense be followed by a gerund??

eg. "I'm always practicing drawing" or I should say "I'm always practicing to draw"???

I don't believe it is incorrect to use the infinitive, but the gerund sounds better to me, even with the double ing .
