Can you say this in bold in a different way? I dont quite get it.

And you must learn adj. always not the adj. as Gramma saying it modifies the noun. But it is an agent or a receiver. Here, the "top" is an agent which gives her three World Championships a result which is of or at the top of 3 World Championships. So, "in the top 3" means that she finished in the way that her three plays were (= causative verb = had a quality of) at / of the top.
