Can somebody explain the difference between continue to give and continue giving

US Senators Vote to Continue Giving War Powers to War Monger Obama.

East Stirling continue to give youth its chance.

why not: East Stirling continue giving youth its chance.

  • I would say that's acceptable too, but CONTINUE TO GIVE (or CONTINUE TO any verb ) is better in most cases, though it is longer and more formal.
  • CONTINUE GIVING is like KEEP ON GIVING and it's fine, but less formal.

I would say that's acceptable too, but CONTINUE TO GIVE (or CONTINUE TO any verb) is bet

In my opinion, there's very little difference.
START PREPARING kind of implies a LONG or CONTINUOUS process of preparing, but the difference is subtle, if there is any.
