Continue to fight

Hi

Are both OK:

1. Can you continue to fight?

2. Can you continue the fight?

Maybe it's better to use: "Are you able to continue to/the fight"?

Hi

But isn't the word "able" more appropriate here?

I don't see why it should be. "Are you able to ...?", being more verbose and less direct, might be seen as slightly more formal or polite, but "Can you ...?" is very commonly used in all sorts of situations.
