Contemplate + question word

Is it correct to use contemplate with a question word?

I am contemplating how to make this work.

I’m not sure it is possible. Could you give me examples if it’s possible?

The given sentence is grammatical, but too formal and unnatural-sounding. "Contemplate" is rarely heard today - this is too philosophical a word to use in modern situations. About the only time it's heard today is in the derisive phrase "contemplating your navel."

Not in general, but it can be used with 'how', as you have done.
