"contact with" or " speak with" ?

Please look at this sentence.
" Consumers experiencing difficulties with this appliance are advised to ___ with our consumer Service representatives at our toll-free number. "
Correct answer is " Speak" But I think I can use "contact" in there.
But they said we can't use the verb of "contact there.
Please explain to me why I can't use "contact" ?
