Contact at and contact on

Just a tiny question about the preposition that should be used in the below cases.

Am I correct to assume that AT is used with email address and ON is used with a phone number?

if you have any questions, please contact me on [phone number]
if you have any questions, please contact me at Email Removed.

Thank you!!

TinyPixie, you are absolutely correct about the use of these prepositions, but there exists one nuance that you should take into consideration. Thus, on is used for giving phone numbers in British English, eg : Call us on 0800 0900017 , while at is chiefly used in American English. As to e-mail addresses, at is chiefly used in both dialects, just as you mentioned.

  • Via is also used instead of at, but with a different meaning.
