Consumers are faced with increasing numbers of advertisements from competing companies. To what extent do you think consumers are influenced by advertisements? What measures can be taken to protect them?

Nowadays, customers are usually attracted by a vast array of commercials from numerous businesses. From my perspective, I firmly believe that this inclination above could have negative impacts on human life. In addition, I will give some certain steps that could save users from advertising strategies.

It is clearly indicated that consumers could be influenced negatively by the considerably increasing numbers of companies’ advertisements. First and foremost, with the commercial promotion, individuals may easily be immersed in the huge source of information about a range of products; consequently, they may find it problematic to find their much-needed goods. For example, in some cases, people often have the tendency to go to supermarkets without carefully planning; therefore, they will be promptly beguiled into buying many eye-catching things which are not ever-so impractical to them. Secondly, the rate of purchasers buying inferior products is remarkably high when a boom in advertisements appears. To be specific, some small companies have the predisposition to gain profits instead of concentrating on their brands and their products’ qualities; as a result, they could make fake products to deceive users.

As can be seen, impacts of the advertising boom are extremely adverse; thus, it is far more essential to take some measures to deal with these problems above. In the first place, I strongly believe that the government of each nation should limit the number of advertising activities on social media together with television. In other words, audiences will no longer have a limited exposure to advertising programs. Therefore, purchasers could minimize the risk of being appealed to unnecessary products by advertising strategies. Secondly, humans should outline a buying plan before going to shopping malls because when making a plan about goods needed to buy, customers may avoid being attracted by other things that are over-advertised. For instance, my mother usually tends to write products assumed to be necessary down the paper before going to markets; thus, she is hardly appealed to regularly commercialized products.

In conclusion, I once again argue that the rise in advertisements’ numbers of competitive businesses has adverse effects on individuals and two prime solutions I suggest above may be practical to humans.
