I'm talking of a man suffering from the Tourettes syndrome; sometimes they are relatively subdued, but at other times they come back in full strength, that's what I'd like to ewpress here: "sometimes he was a complete prey to theses tics, he was ... by them" By the way, is "come back in full strength" correct?
Hey, it's not a matter of knowing, it's a matter of speaking. Is it correct to say someone is overwhelmed by tics? I mean, you, ESnative, would you raise an eyebrow? I mean tics are all over his face.(and the rest of him) "consumed by tics?"/" with tics"? "aravged", "devastated" with tics (I don't like devastated that much)
