Consultation

When speaking of doctors, do these sentences make sense:


a) "I'm longing for my consultation."


b) "I look forward to my consultation."


Note: By this, I mean I can't wait for my appointment with the doctor. (By the way, is it correct to say: '... my appointment with the doctor.'?
