Helllo everyone,
A. Could you please tell me if both "consult" and "consult with" are correct in the following sentences?
1. He consulted his teacher.
2. He consulted with his teacher.
3. They consulted with each other.
4. They consulted each other.
5. I consulted with my dictionary.
6. I consulted my dictionary.
B. If #1 and #2 are OK, could you please tell me is there any difference between them?
Regards,
JA

Joseph A"consult with"
I have only heard this in American English. I have heard it without with in British English.
