Constructing a sentence

Dear Grammarians, could you please tell me whether the following sentence is correct or not. Thanks in advence.

NOT THE COUNTRY FOR ME. FOR THE COUNTRY I AM.

Top answer

For me it means that the country is not for me but I am for the country. I have trouble seeing that meaning in your original post's words, so to me it is not meaningful or correct. Your revised wording is a little better, but I still advise you to reword it for more clarity.
