Constraints

Hello, ..

I have two questions about constraints and hope you could help me with:

-Can I say, due to constraints on my side?

"Due to constraints on my side, I will not be able to meet the deadlines we previously set in our meeting last month."

-Can hardships be used in place of constraints? Or is it too intense to be so..?

"Due to hardships on my side, I will not be able to meet the deadlines we previously set in our meeting last month."

Thank you.

Here's a broad definition of these words. a constraint is something that limits your action in some way. eg a time constraint means you have less time to do something than you would like to have.
