Grammar

Consists of / consist of

Hi teachers,

I found this in a dictionary:

if something is composed of a group of things or people, it consist of them.

Shouldn't it be "consists"?

Thanks

Hi,

Do not say that something ‘is consisted of’ or ‘consists’ things or people. Say that it consists of things or people.

Hope it helps,
