I read that 'considering' is a preposition. Can someone please provide an example in which 'considering' is used as a preposition? Thanks!

It wouldn't have been my guess either. Grammatical terminology varies a lot and this is yet another good example of that. I would call consideringa present participle used as a clause equivalent in your example. I am no
